1969 Plymouth GTX Additional Info:
Up for auction is my very rare 1969 GTX convertible project car. First off, this car is a project car that is structurally solid and fairly complete. It does have the original fender tag, no broadcast sheet or numbers matching driveline components. The car is originally R6 red, black interior, black top, 440 Super Commando with N96 air grabber hood, console shifted hemi 4 speed transmission and a 3.54 gear Dana 60 rear end. The engine, transmission and axle were removed at some point and replaced with a 1969 383 4 bbl HP, auto trans with column shifter and a 8 3/4 axle of unknown ratio. A far as options go: front and rear bumper guards, power steering, power disc brakes (still on the car), air grabber, am 8 track radio (not in dash, but included) and center console. The car currently has an automatic brake pedal in it, but comes with a correct manual pedal setup. I also will include the original console shifter handle, mechanism and complete 4 speed center console if the buy it now is hit.
Obviously, the car needs to be restored and does need some metal work. The car had the left 1/4 panel, trunk floor and driver floor pan cut out when I purchased it. I temporarily hung a new AMD 1/4 skin on the car. It will need trunk floors, trunk drop-offs, front floor pan, rear footwells and some patchwork on the lower right 1/4 but its useable. The hood is perfect, the fenders are clean, doors are clean, trunk is rotted, but a clean original is included, front frames are clean except for one small section near the left front bumper bracket area (pictured), trans crossmember is clean, rear frames appear to be solid.
This will be a stunning car restored and well worth the investment. I do have the car advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. $500 paypal deposit required at auctions end. Cashiers check or wire transfer due within 7 days after that. NO trades, NO BS. I will assist with shippers. Please call Dave with any questions about the car (734)624 2212. Reserve is fair, bid to own.
