1971 Plymouth Road Runner Additional Info:

Car runs on aviation fuel, although it has not been driven in a while. I did have a mechanic look at it recently, to make sure everything was working. The car was rebuilt in 1990 from front end to back end - total redo. I have $23K into the refit. Unfortunately, the tires are from 1990 and I am afraid they may not still be sound, so they may need replacing.
The muffler system is glass packs so it is a bit loud! I was told it was street legal in 1990. Gas tank is very small for racing.
Roll bar added in back. Cut out and aluminum replaced. 24" racing tires on the back. The body is very solid. Some minor rust on the floor at front, but an easy repair. Car needs interior finishes - door panels etc. very minor visible rust,
This is an original Roadrunner, it is not a satellite.
I have all of the original papers with description of parts purchased/work done to restore the car.
Car originally had 46,000 miles on it. When they redid the engine, the mileage counter was reset.

Buyer is responsible for pick-up. I will help arrange transport over to the mainland for pick up in Charlevoix, Michigan

I received the following question from someone today, and I did ask for my answer to be included in the listing, but for some reason it is not showing up.
The minor rust you mentioned on the front floor, is it to where the it can be sanded, primed and painted or on the edge of where you would think it should be replaced?
Also, seeing that the dash and column appear not original to the car, when they were replaced, were you able to obtain and keep any of the interior pieces (seats, panels, etc..) that you could include in the sale?

My answer to this was: the rust on the front floor can be sanded, primed and painted, it is not to the point where it should be replaced. I did not know that the dash and column were not original to the car - they must have been replaced before I originally purchased it. I do not have any of the original seats or panels, but I do have covers for the seats that are in there currently.
Also, the car does smell like mothballs at the present to keep critters away from chewing on wires etc. They will be removed before the end of the auction.
Thanks again for looking.
