This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner has been meticulously restored to represent the best of everything that this muscle Mopar promised when new. The original 383 Magnum V8 under the hood, four-on-the-floor, and mean green paint turn this lovable cartoon character into the aggressor, and you wouldn't want it any other way. The Plymouth Road Runner was the most honest muscle car around when it first hit the scene, and so this one upholds that tradition. That's why it... has details others leave out, like the color-matched steelie wheels with dog dish hubcaps. And the full restoration took the time to make sure this blocky/authoritative muscle car body has crisp sheetmetal. But even within this industrial aggressiveness there's room for a ton of style. Flared fenders, redline tires, faux hood louvers, and matte black stripes on the hood give this Plymouth plenty of attitude. And there's great classic style with details like the extra-wide chrome bumpers, and rear fenders that extend past the wide rear light bar to create a Frenched look. But what really makes this coupe stand out is the paint. The factory-correct Rally Green has been resprayed with such care that you can't help but stare. In fact, when combined with the bright orange pinstripe, it has enough personality that it looks like it was borrowed from the Warner Brothers cartoon character on the door! The black vinyl interior pairs well with the green and black on the outside. Moreover, you can tell they made the same kind of investment inside to keep this car like a fresh time capsule. Everything here feels correct - from the weave of the seat inserts, to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes! These were midsize muscle cars, but that designation in the '60s means full-size comfort today. So there's plenty of room to have up to five family and friends riding with you, but you don't need any of them to have fun with this Road Runner. It feels like a driver's car from the moment you grab the factory three-spoke wheel, and the character in the center reminds you that the horn really does make the famous "BEEP! BEEP!" sound. And that shifter on the floor is your gateway to a ton of power. From the moment you lift the hood, you know exactly why this one gets your heart racing. The 383 cubic-inch V8 in the engine bay is the original motor installed by the Los Angeles factory a half-century ago. With that big bold block paint and correct Road Runner on top, it looks like a beacon of performance in the engine bay. And it has terrific details - from the correct decals to the classic-style battery. So you know you're going to wow people with this much power and preservation in one package. It inhales deeply from a proper Carter four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority through the rumbling dual exhaust. Best of all, you have complete control over the big V8's power and its thunderous soundtrack thanks the correct four-speed manual transmission. This is the kind of performance package that we know you won't be able to resist adding mileage to the odometer. This is an absolutely awesome restoration (even the undercarriage, too!) that pays attention to what the Road Runner was all about. So if you want a true representation of Mopar muscle, don't let this Road Runner slip away. Call today!!!
