1941 Plymouth Pickup Additional Info:

A vintage pickup turned into a street machine is already a guaranteed to turn heads. So when you use a rare 1941 Plymouth PT pickup as a base, and upgrade it with a true Mopar V8, you know this is something quite special. The Plymouth pickup is a rare sight. It was basically only a short chapter in Chrysler's pre-war history, and it was only available at certain dealers that didn't already have Dodge offerings. But this truck had a lasting impression, after all, the look inspired later Plymouths like the Prowler and (namesake) PT Cruiser. In fact, this example is a modern update, and so they finished it in the two colors that made those later cars famous - a deep metallic purple and a bright metallic silver. That's a pretty cool way to tie together the whole history, right? And while this truck is a very updated machine, it also gets all the vintage details right. The unique multi-part grille, fender-mounted headlights, and even the Plymouth-script taillights all have true classic style. Plus, they didn't forget that a classic pickup like this needs some great-looking real lumber in the truck bed. Inside is a terrific custom interior. The exterior two-tone is continued on the inside of the door panels. And it's even in the door jambs, so you know it was a total quality application. This has more color coordination as the exterior silver returns in the carpeting, and the purple is part of everything from the dash to the seat piping. Plenty of glass has an open atmosphere that gave these Mopars the "Pilot House" feeling they're known for. Plus, you've got a great upgraded wood steering wheel, and beyond that is a custom gauge panel. Custom builds from all makes often utilize Chevy small-block power, but this one has refreshingly stayed all-Mopar. Under the hood is a 318 cubic-inch V8 motor from Chrysler. It has cool presentation with the whole block painted to match the exterior purple, and everyone loves the sight of Mickey Thompson ribbed valve covers. Plus, you have performance upgrades like a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. The power is mated to a stout A727 Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. Besides just being powerful, this Plymouth rides down the road nicely thanks to a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, power steering, and front disc brakes. This unique pickup knows how to turn heads and tell tales. It makes for a terrific custom, and likely your only opportunity at something this distinct. Call now!
