1969 Plymouth GTX Additional Info:

I am relisting this, not because of a bad buyer, but he was 21 hrs. and it caught him off guard by actually winning this. So please keep in mind when you bid, we are in Southern Louisiana about as far south as you can go before you reach the Gulf of Mexico, and please do not bid unless you can pay for this.
Okay with that said and done, this is a Real not a clone GTX, L code HP 440 and stamped on the pad is the E code 1969 440 and 69 727 Transmission.
This is not a restored ca, this is a Street Legal Super Stock Plymouth and brings back some memories of the days of Sox & Martin. This is a solid driver car that you can have fun with a blow the doors off Fords, Chevy's & Imports. This car is running high 11's in the quarter mile. The sound to this is unbelievable and when you open the electronic exhaust cut outs you sound like your in Pro Stock Class at the Drag Strip.
The motor, tranny and rear end are worth the reserve price alone..
This HP 440 is now a 505 Stroker motor with a Scat Stroker Kit. This has a Comp Cams Mechanical Solid Lifter Roller Cam it is a 550 Lift/ 280 Duration set up. Dual Timing Chain and gear set, Brand New Mopar Performance Valve Covers, Edelbrock Aluminum RPM Heads, Edelbrock Aluminum Intake and fed fuel through a 770 CFM Double Pump Holley Street Avenger. SFI Flex Plate and ATI Fluid Harmonic Balancer. This engine has very little hours on it, starts first time, (See the pictures w/valve covers off) Fuel comes from a trunk mounted RCI fuel cell (15 gallon) This engine is 500+ HP and will push you through the front seat.Engine cooling is done through a PowerFlow Aluminum Water Pump Housing and high volume water pump that flows through a BE COOL Radiator w/Dual Cooling Fans.
This is linked to a Rebuilt 727 with a B&M 3000 Holeshot Stall Converter and a B&M Shift Kit. It has a Vintage Style Lokar Nostalgia shifter.
The rear End is a heavy duty Chrysler 9 1/4 with a Auburn Gear High Performance 31- Spline Posi Unit with Moser 31 Spline Axles, Motive Gear 4:10:1 axle ratio and a Mancini Racing 4340 Axle Yoke.....now I understand why this GTX on acceleration pins you to the seat...it rides on Mopar Performance Super Stock Leaf Springs.
Exhaust starts with Hedman headers breathing through 3" Stainless steel pipes and through Flow Master Mufflers.
Ignition is all MSD, New 6 AL Control Box and New Coil, New Plug Wire, MSD Distributor
Electrical has been upgraded to a single wire 105 Amp Internal Voltage Regulator and a Optima Gel Battery. Engine grounds have been changed from old wire style to 8 gauge battery cable style.Starter is a High Torque Mini starter which is needed with this 12:1 compression engine.
Brakes are new and new tires, FireStone 235/70 R 15 on the front, Firestone 275/60 R-15 on the rear.
Body on this car is solid, look at the pictures with the carpet out and you will see the original floors still in tact. Firewall is solid as well as the cowl, hood, trunk lid, quarter panels and rocker panels. I found a small amount of body filler along the bottom of the inside of the trunk extensions which appears to be only where the body was skimmed with a light coat before painting.
Paint is a olde, around 2008 re-paint and it was done by the Dealership and baked on. It has a mirror shine to it and overall is excellent but it does now almost 10 years later have some blemishes on the roof and at the bottom of the drivers door, a few small chips here and ther, it's not perfect but it can be fixed by color blending and not an entire re-paint. This is a daily driver, not a trailer queen.
Interior has New Carpet, front seats are original and great condition, back seat has a few small thread separations but not the material split. Headliner is new. Has factory dash w/Tac, Thumb Wheel AM Radio, New Radio Face Plate. Back door panels are in great condition w/arm rests and ash trays still in tact. All 4 window crank handles are new. NEW Door weather strips, Roof Rail Weather strips, Front & Rear Windsheild seals.I HAVE NEW FRONT DOOR PANELS ORDERED from Legendary Interiors and they are a few weeks out, but I will ship to you as soon as they arrive.GTX has BOSH Gauges mouthed under the ash tray, all the lights work and it is street legal..
What does this GTX Need?? It needs a wiper transmission and the wiper switch for the dash, I have the washer switch and several of the chrome roof rail trim pieces. Wiper motor is re-built . Needs a dome light switch and that is about it.
This GTX is priced to sell and it is worth a lot more than what I am asking, I simply do not have the time to finish this with 11 other Mopars in the bull pen...

  • #1 Concours$79,500 Condition #1 vehicles are the best in the world. The visual image is of the best vehicle, in the right colors, driving onto the lawn at the finest concours. Perfectly clean, the vehicle has been groomed down to the tire treads. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 vehicles is "concours."
  • #2 Excellent$54,600 #2 vehicles could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 vehicles that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, chrome, glass and finishes will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, no unusual noises will emanate from the engine. The vehicle will drive as a new vehicle of its era would. The one word description for #2 vehicles is "excellent."
  • #3 Good$38,100 #3 vehicles could possess some, but not all of the issues of a #4 vehicle, but they will be balanced by other factors such as a fresh paint job or a new, correct interior where applicable. #3 vehicles drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These vehicles are not used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws. "Good" is the one word description of a #3 vehicle.
  • #4 Fair$26,800 #4 vehicles are daily drivers, with flaws visible to the naked eye. The chrome might have pitting or scratches, the windshield might be chipped. Paintwork is imperfect, and perhaps the body has a minor dent. Split seams or a cracked dash, where applicable, might be present. No major parts are missing, but the wheels could differ from the originals, or other non- stock additions might be present. A #4 vehicle can also be a deteriorated restoration. "Fair" is the one word that describes a #4 vehicle.
