1970 Plymouth Duster 360 V-8 As 1970 rolled around the big 3 new it was the beginning of the end for true muscle car horsepower. So I guess you can say it was a race to the finish. Which one of the Big 3 along with AMC would have the largest block and highest horsepower. The GM block was 454 and 455, Chrysler and Dodge it was the 440. Even Lincoln and Cadillac were posting some of the largest cubes as a 460 was for Lincoln and the 501 was for Cadillac. It truly was an era we will never see again when it didn’t matter what types of toxins were in the air as long as rubber was left on the ground. By 1975 if you weren’t grandfathered in, you were driving a dog….no matter what the brand was. That’s when motor swapping and aftermarket parts really started to soar! This 1970 Plymouth Duster is a clone, but was happily a victim of a motor swap and some clone badging. It was born as a 1970 Valiant and was bionically rebuilt into something special. The amount of money spent was much more then what we are asking for it today. Please read on to find out about this rare find and let us know of any questions you may have.
