BodyRecently, aground uprestoration was performed on the already well preserved car. The solidbody is ingreat conditionand the paint is smooth as glass.Pictured belowyou can see the condition of this car at every angle above and below. The only rust in the car prior to restorationwas a in the trunk tub and rear lower qtrs.Everything was cut out replaced with aftermarket panels prepped, preserved and undercoatedwhere necessary to insure the car will last another 40 years. The entire trunk tub was replaced with a quality replacement panel, due to poor quality patch panel parts. The trim tag was removedat some point but going by the vin we have determined its a 340 car with rally dash butpresumably a bench seat model, but without the tag we are unsure beyond that. A 4' cowl hood was installed and built by AAR of cocoa the original factory hood is included and in great shape. He's owned the car for 8 years and it was a dark blue when purchased so the hood remains that way.
DrivelineThe original H code car features aprofessional built1972340with performanceupgrades at every angle and listed below. Its was pulled during restorationdressed, detailed and runs as great as it looks.Getting it through the gears is a4spd A-833transmission that's shifts strong and has a new clutch pack and bearing.Itslooks like the car was converted to 4 spd, but from underneath it was a professional conversion and almost fooling until thorough investigation. The rear set up is bad assis a8.75posi with aRiley motor sports bolt inStreet Lynx 4 linksuspensionandQA1adjcoil overs that handles the400+hpengine nicely. The gearing is unknown but feels to be around the 3.73 area from our experience.A true dual mandrel exhaust was built for the car and getting the rumble out therear is handled by a pair of 2.5' StainlessMagnaflow3chambermufflers with H-pipe.The car features aWildwood power disc brakeset up with2 piecedrilled & slotted rotors with4 piston calipersstopping afreshly polished set ofWeldPro starswithnew tires. Its manual steering and although its lacking power its not to bad to drive withthe skinnies up front. The entire front suspension has been replaced in the last 2 years with less then 2k miles on it.
1972 340 less then 10k miles since built 8 yeas ago. but recently resealed while removed. All maintence was performed on a monthly basis and the engine is in great shape and extremely strong. The car is very quick when you lean in it and very friendly when you want to cruise.Balanced and bored 30 overEdelbrock Performer Aluminum headsEdelbrock Air Gap intakeDemon 750 carburetorComp ca, weve lost the cam card but it was 2500-3000 rpm range specceramic coated headersMopar valve coveresStock rotating assembly w/forged pistonsElectronic Ignestimated 400hp comfortably at the flywheel but never racedA-833 4spd trans with new clutch and flywheel
InteriorA bucket seat interior featuresNewupholstery from top to bottom. The bucket seats are in excellent condition and sit comfortable. All the seat belts are in great working order. The factoryRally dashfeatures allnewgauges and circuit boards. All lights are working and everything functions as it should. Since its beena long timeFloridacarthe heater controls are very tight. Its all hooked up and functions but will need some lube or effort. All the windows go up and down perfect and the glass is in great shape. A retro sounds auto stereo was installed and jams the tunes out of Alpine 6x9 speakers.
IssuesThe hood has chipped the cowling a little and its pictured below, a 1.5" small scratch is in the drivers qtr but its very discreet, theBlack Duster 340 Stripe Kitincluded will cover it up. The headers are low so they do drag incertain situations, other then that the car is in good shape
