1976 Plymouth Other Special Hardtop 2-Door Additional Info:
Up for auction is this 1976 Plymouth Scamp. Its the same body style as the Dodge Dart. From what I can tell this car is 100% original other than the tires. it has the 225 slant 6 with a 904 transmission. This car is an exceptionally smooth running and driving car for its age. Everything about this car is in good shape. The interior in the car is near mint condition for its age. Everything works in the car right down to the gas gauge. I drove this car 1400 miles home when I first bought it, and have occasionally got it out and drove it as a daily driver for a week or two and then put it back in storage. All the rubber on this car is in good shape around the windows and so forth. I did replace the windshield wiper seals and gaskets which most people think is the windshield leaking. I also put new Teflon bushings on the arms while I was there. The tires on the car have less than 5000 miles on them as they were put on right before I bought it. There are only two small rust issues with the car. The passenger side rear quarter of the car is rusted and looks like it rusted from the inside out. I did notice today that the rubber plug is missing from the inside. The driver side quarter is perfect. The other is a very small spot on the passenger side front fender. Both of these spots can be seen in the photos. The rest of this car, especially for its age, would be considered rust free. I tried to take photos of the more common spots that rust. The original grill in the car has one broke spot in it, in the pics you can see a perfect replacement that I have left in the trunk. Even though this car didn'tcome with it, I bought the aluminum "Plymouth" filler panelthat goes between the taillights. I didn'tget a photo of it, but it will go with the car. I have other pictures of the car showing more of the underside of the car and more interior pictures. I can send those via email or text if you want to see them.
