Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this very special pre-war Plymouth. You're looking at one of the best 1941 Plymouth Special Deluxe (P12) Two-Door Sedans anywhere in the world. This particular example has been treated meticulously practically its whole life. We have hand written letters and receipts detailing restoration work done in 1980 and prior. We have a photo album detailing the restoration effort along with an owner's log with details beginning in 1980 into the 2000s. In 1980, the owner explicitly states that only NOS parts were to be procured for what was then this cars ongoing restoration effort. Fast forward to present and you'll find a continued stack of receipts and details about this car. We have the factory owner's manual and MOPAR accessories booket as well. This car is an excellent candidate for AACA competitions.
This is an unusual Plymouth, kept in beautiful condition inside and out. This car is practically museum quality with one exception, you can drive this car. It has been kept mechanically sound without extended periods of storage without care.
We have photos documenting the restoration efforts in addition to some great original paperwork.
VERY few deviations from original have been made to this Plymouth over the years. The factory steel wheels have recently been fitted with updated 6.00R16 Coker wide whitewall radial tires all around for an improved driving experience. There is also a matching spare tire/wheel assembly in the trunk along with correct jacking equipment.
Vintage MOPAR accessories are featured throughout this car, some examples include ; locking gas cap, amber fog lamps, fender skirts, additional side mirrors, bumper guards, and an exhaust deflector.
Be sure to visit the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. Their facility is in the background of many of our offered vehicles.
Open the doors to 1941, literally!
This interior is simply stunning and correct throughout.
Cloth was considered a luxury for many decades in automotive history. The dash displays beautiful factory gauges, fully functional with exception of the clock.
The factory radio is not currently functional.
The upholstery is in beautiful condition with broad pinstripe multi-color cloth and blue cloth. The door panels, carpeting, and headliner is the same condition and quality.
Under hood is the strong running & correct Plymouth L-head Six. This powerplant provides ample torque at low rpm, perfect to move this Plymouth down the road. Note the correct heavy-duty oil bath air cleaner assembly and factory components.
The firewall, inner fenders and core support sheetmetal is in excellent condition. The undercarriage is a further testament to the care taken and condition of this '41 Plymouth. The frame and flooring is solid throughout. The grease points have been addressed recently as well. We have brochures detailing the chassis greasing procedure.
