1969 Plymouth GTX Additional Info:
Up for sale today is an incredibly rare and desirable muscle car; a REAL 1969 Plymouth GTX 2‐door convertible with bright Sunfire Yellow paint and black racing stripes. It also has a classy white interior and this racer features a powerful 440 CI V‐8 engine under the hood with an incredibly rare four‐speed manual transmission. Not a tribute - the real thing! The odometer shows a little over 55,500 on it and I believe this to be the actual mileage on the car. Only 178 GTX convertibles were produced in 1969 with this configuration and this is one of the few remaining examples anywhere in the US. ### **Many Original Parts** This 1969 Plymouth GTX two‐door convertible does not have the factory 440 "Super Commando" V‐8 installed, but it has been fully restored back to factory specifications with a period correct engine. It is one of the only convertible muscle cars you'll find anywhere with a big block engine and a four speed manual. Since the convertible was discontinued in 1970, only a handful of these are still remaining and it is rare to see a collector part ways with one. A similar example sold at auction for over $100k just a few years ago, which speaks to the desire to own this rare classic. In terms of actual condition, this 1969 Plymouth GTX Convertible is exceptionally clean throughout after many years of exceptional care. This is an older complete restoration that has been mainly in storage for the past several years, but it starts well and drives nicely with exceptional power. This muscle car is a true pleasure to drive with a great feel on the open road and excellent curb appeal‐ it should not last for long at the current asking price. ### **An Exceedingly Rare Find** Overall, this ultra‐rare 1969 Plymouth GTX two‐door convertible is highly desirable and it belongs in a serious collector's garage. The value of these blue‐chip collectibles has been steadily rising in recent years as well, so now is the perfect time to own this beauty at a sensational price.
