Plymouth DUSTER 340ci STICK (Survivor)
This is one really solid Mopar. This Unmolested super clean car was born in Michigan and lived all of its life in California as a slant 6. Car was made a 340 4 speed prior to me purchasing the vehicle in 2002. The owner before me was an old Mopar mechanic and collector who was liquidating his muscle car fleet. He had found a date coded 340 and 4 speed Trans for the car. He rebuilt the motor with a mild build, J heads, Isky cam and headers. When I received the vehicle I replaced the entire suspension with new 1970 340 parts. 340 Torsion bars Kelsey Hays 4 piston calipers with power assist and Super Stock springs in the rear with a 373:1 sure grip rear end. The car also has an Edelbrock Performer Duel Plane Spreadbore intake on it with an 850 Thermoquad built by Demon Sizzler. Easy on fuel to cruise, but watch out when the secondary’s open. I do have the original 340 intake and 1970 date coded AVS carburetor. All the panels are original with no filler that I am aware of. The undercarriage has the factory undercoat and is in pristine condition. The previous owner painted the car Tor Red originally Rally Red and left the few nostalgic small dings. The car has never been out in the rain since I have owned it and has been kept in my heated garage for over 12 years. The car runs and drives beautifully and has not been beat on. I too have become the age where it is time to surrender my car that I had as a teenager due to health reasons. This is a fine piece of American Muscle that would make anyone proud to own.
