1923 Packard Touring Car Additional Info:

Own a piece of American history! For sale, a rare gem, the 1923 Packard Convertible Touring Car. This cherry red beauty belonged to the late George Gallup, pollster and former chairman of The Gallup Organization. It was his lifelong pride and joy. What makes his Packard truly special is that almost all of the parts are original. Only a fraction had to be reproduced when the car was restored in 1991. The Packard Auto company was ahead of the pack, truly on the cutting edge of technology. They were also frontrunners in the area of design and luxury, committed to the manufacturing of the finest possible automobiles. Packard was the only company in the U.S. whose work could be compared with that of England's Rolls-Royce organization. I reluctantly put my father's beloved Packard up for sale for practical reasons. I simply do not have the space and storing it seems to be such a waste. It is my sincere hope is that it will go to someone who will love it, preserve it, protect it, and share it with those who have a deep appreciation for this incredible work of American ingenuity and automotive history. The car was appraised in March of 2016 by a highly regarded firm. PLEASE NOTE: The vehicle was running when it was put into storage three years ago. It has not been tended to because of distance. It will need some tweaking to get it started. Please allow 2-4 weeks, as I am in Tennessee, to take possession of the vehicle. Buyer is responsible for arranging towing from the storage unit in Princeton, NJ, where the vehicle is housed.
