Offered today is a very well restored Packard Limo. The engine was professionally rebuilt and runs stron, smooth and quiet. The interior is completely renewed using the original styles of fabric and design except for the drivers leather front seat that seems to be original from the factory. The leather has separated on the back shoulder area somewha, visible in the photos. This car has very strong brakes as they are all brand new with very few miles on this restoration. Same for the wide white wall tires and all the rest of the Limo . It was lovingly restored for a daughters wedding and then tucked away in dry Western Nebraska storage. Once a yea, like clock work, we would carefully prime and start the car and check all the fluids. No leak, no low fluids over the past ten years and once up to temp we would take an hour's ride out on the highway, through town and add some non ethanol fuel. The fuel pump is weak so a 6 volt electric pump was installed to make for a reliable driver. The paint is as good as the day it was repainted and looks absolutely gorgeous in that gloss black.This Limo is a joy to drive. The straight eight with 3 speed on the floor, is so smooth and fires right off the ke, timing is spot on. It accelerates very well at it's own rate, it's not quick at all but very comfortable for your guests. Top speed for highway is a nice 60-70mph.Ask AI for an over view and some interesting facts come to light. The Super 8 production only accounted for 4% of total Packards built in 1938. The math figures out to be 2228 Super'8s and on the title it shows this car is #2071 out of that lot.You are bidding on a wonderful car that takes you back in history. It was bought back in Chicago in the late 70's for restoration and driven back to Nebraska, 913 miles. The classic line used every time they stopped for fuel. "Check the gas and filler up with oil !" is part of the legend of this now shiny Limo.
