1947 Packard Additional Info:

1947 Super Clipper Touring Sedan, model 2172. Nearly complete parts or project car with bill of sale only. This car was parked in a lean-to in the early 1980s for restoration but the owner passed and it was forgotten. The front grilles were stolen at some point. Luckily all the loose parts were stored in the interior with the doors locked and they were well untouched. The fender damage is from a truck backing into it while it was in storage.Odometer shows 50750 miles. Last service sticker lists the mileage at 49895.356 engine is partially disassembled and stuck. No one remembers why it was pulled apart but one piston and rod has been removed - possibly a rod bearing issue, or it was getting a ring job?Head, air cleaner, manifolds, etc, are in the trunk. Window garnishes, steering wheel, gauges, radio and most trim is very good to excellent. Radiator appears to have been refinished. Aside from the dented front fenders, the body is very rust free and undamaged. Good rockers, floors, trunk, etc. This is the first time it's been out of shelter in decades. The bumpers have very good chrome.I purchased it to part out, but was surprised to find that it was so solid. Much better car than I expected.Tires leak down slowly but I can install good ones for long distance transport. Rolls freely. We can store for 1-2 months until pickup if the car is paid for.Located in Amelia, Oh 45102.Look up RS Classics Amelia online for our address website.
