You are bidding on a 1949 Packard 22nd Series Touring Sedan. It is being offered with NO RESERVE. The Packard wears an older amateur restoration and runs, drives, and stops, but should not be considered roadworthy. Mileage shown is 54,5xx but actual mileage is unknown. Exterior: The paint is in very good condition with a few imperfections. Some sanding marks are visible in bright light. Brightwork is only fair, as pitting is visible on die cast pieces, and bumpers and trim show wear, tarnish and scratches (see pictures).Interior: The interior is overall good condition (see pictures) but evidence of rodent activity (droppings) was found under the rear seat. Front door panels show moisture damage, and some surface rust is visible under the front floor mat (see pictures). Kick panels also show evidence of repair. Headliner shows some discoloration near the A pillar (see pictures). Shift knob and dome light switch plastics are crumbling. Interior dome light was removed by previous owner as it apparently does not shut off. Seating surfaces appear to have been recovered and are in very good shape. Mechanical: The Packard runs, drives, and stops, but should not be considered roadworthy. Car is equipped with overdrive, but operational status is unknown. Brakes will stop car, but have a strong pull to the left. Starter is activated by the accelerator pedal - the starter occasionally remains activated after releasing pedal. Ignition switch appears aftermarket. Engine is slightly rough at idle but revs smoothly. Oil pressure is good (see pictures). Wiring appears original and has some visible fraying in places. Structural: Undercarriage appears solid (see pictures)Contact:Car may be viewed by appointment. Message with questions or for additional pictures or call/text 574-532-8352.
