1946 Packard Clipper Additional Info:

Although there have been many great American automotive brands since the beginning of the automobile, perhaps there is no more striking an American brand than that of the Packard Motorcar Company. Since the turn of the century, 1899 to be exact, Packard has produced some of the most graceful and striking automobiles to ever grace the streets of America and that graceful design was certainly not lost on the example on offer here.
The automobile on offer is a beautifully presented 1946 Packard Clipper 1682 Sedan which is finished in a striking color combination of two tone black and silver exterior which is complimented by a clean set of wide white-wall tires! On the interior, the car is future distinguished by its sophisticated tobacco brown cloth seats with chocolate-y gauge faces and a burled walnut dash surface. This Packard is powered by an absolutely beautifully detailed and highly refined straight 6 cylinder, 245 cubic inch engine which runs with the sort of smoothness that can really only be expected of a car of this era with the tolerances of a Packard. The car revs freely, runs clean, and goes down the road in not only a cosmetically beautiful state but also with a sure-footed mechanical soundness that can only be found in a well taken-care-of automobile.
Posted below you will find over 60 professional photographs which do a fairly good job of emphasizing the overall high level of quality which can be found in this particular example.
Suffice to say, if you have been shopping for one of these for some time, you will see that there are plenty of examples on the market for considerably more as well as considerably less than the asking price of this particular car. I do think, however, that studying the below photographs will convince any discerning buyer of the superior quality of this car. Without a doubt, to restore one of these cars would cost many tens of thousands of dollars with concours restorations possibly running into the 6 figure range. While this example might cost a bit more than other examples on the market, I do believe that those other examples would cost their initial purchase price or more just in work to bring them up to the standard of this example. Further, the examples priced higher than this one currently are nowhere near the quality of the Packard presented for your purchase in this ad.
