1954 Packard Packard Clipper Additional Info:

We purchased this Packard a few years ago as a couples project. We replaced with all new parts: Brake master cylinder, 4 wheel cylinders,brake shoes & spring kits, rear axle seals. Rebuilt the carb, electrical tune up. We got it running and registered. We drove it and discovered it needs steering box rebuild and other steering work. It also needs a radiator as after the first test drive all the water blew out when we got home. Never overheated and runs strong, smokes blue smoke. I start it daily - starts easily. The car has been repainted by a previous owner from the original Sea Foam Blue to a very dark blue. Previous owner also had the seats redone - so they are nice but not original. We didn't find any rust through underneath but there is some paint bubbling on the left quarter below the gas filler - bad paint probably not rust as it doesn't show inside of trunk. The tires are old and should be replaced and the transmission seems fine. I have a video posted on you tube of the engine running, the sound quality is all static.
