1934 Packard Model 1100 Additional Info:
Purchased at auction from the estate of Jake Nelson, a musician with the Dorsey Brothers Band, this beautiful Packard 1100 Five-Passenger Sedan is likely to be one of the finest restored examples around.
Mark Andrews, a private collector who purchased the car, had a "no expense spared" frame off restoration done under the expert guidance of Mickey Justice, a well-known Packard specialist in Dillard, GA. During restoration, a decision was made to change the original solid color of Columbian Beige Light to the luminescence colors of Swiss Green #1 and the darker Swiss Green #4, accented by the Packard correct Valentine Silver pin stripping. An original, but rarely seen color scheme offered in the late 1933 and 1934 model years.
Winning both the Senior and Premier CCCA National Awards during his ownership, Mark decided to sell his prized beauty. The car now reside is CA and still retains its original 319.2 cid, 120HP, straight 8 engine and Packard accessories of dual side mounted spare tires with metal covers and side view mirrors, heater, rear view mirror, as well as an original fabrikoid Packard trunk with the suitcases and the script Packard luggage rack. Along with the car comes the original paint color sheets for 1933 and 1934, the original sales brochure, tags, and registration back to the original owners family from 1940.
The copper and enamel AAA license plate topper on the rear license plate is NOT included with the sale of the vehicle.
