I have had several e-mails regarding the "background" in the pictures. No, the signs are NOT photoshoped and the building is real. I am fortunate to own what I believe is the last operating Packard dealership in America. It was built in 1936 by a German immigrant, Joseph Straetker and he continued to run it and sell parts and service cars, until his death in 1986, twenty years after Packard ceased production. I have owned the building for ten years and have tried to restore it to be a duplicate of a Packard dealership in about 1940. It is a very stout structure and provides me offices for my real business of commercial and agricultural real estate. Thanks to everyone for the many kind words about the site.
I will add that I am in the process of getting ready to move out of state and if anyone would be interested, the building will be sold. Call me with any questions.
