You are looking at a gorgeous 1930 Packard Eight 733 Coupe Cabriolet. It is a privately owned vehicle being sold on consignment at Stressless Auto on behalf of the owner. Consignment sales give you the best of both worlds: you get a well cared for, privately owned car with a known history as well as the ease and security of working with a very service focused, specialty dealer.
This Packard is truly a survivor. We have been told it had only three owners; the original owner, a museum, and the current owner. The odometer works properly and the mileage is believed to be original at only 16,154 miles. The engine and transmission are original and work very well. This car runs better than most 1970s cars we’ve seen. An electronic fuel pump was added for reliability.
One very unique feature on this car is the overdrive. It was installed by the factory, but was not an option offered by Packard. The owner sourced the equipment and Packard built it into the car.
The interior is completely original. The leather on the seats (both inside and the rumble seat) is soft and appears to be original. The interior seats have a few wear lines but no tears. The wood dash shows some aging but also appears to be original. The trunk has the original Packard logo inside and is in remarkably good condition. The Packard golf clubs and bag are included in their storage compartment (the door on the right behind the passenger door). The fabric on the top and covering the trunk has been replaced and it is in like-new condition.
The paint is mostly original in Rubicelle Maroon. The fenders were repainted in the original color but the rest is paint from the factory. It does show the cracking that is common with older automotive paints, with the doors showing the worst cracks by far.
This car comes with a Briggs and Stratton key, original user’s manual, original manual for the overdrive, Packard golf club set, and Packard golf bag.
