588 built worldwide only in 1958, the final year of Packard production. Documented as fastest Packard ever produced. Concours quality (if you can find them) are six figure cars. Estimates fewer than 50 quality examples remain. Unmolested, original condition (right front fender repair at some earlier time, unknown). Authenticated Studebaker Museum production order. Original white with gold roof over tan leather. It's all here, even the most 'hard-to-find' bits even the original hounds tooth trunk liner- you should see the Packard shop jack. Excellent full leather interior and vinyl outside arm rests. Door and kick panels are excellent. Flawless headliner. Some fitting and detailing required but just details (the two interior arm rests, the top panel of the rear centre arm rest and wind lace need attention). Almost dust free under dash and under seats- tells you it's never been out in the elements. Features Climatizer heating system and factory under coating. New door and window rubber I've just installed to tighten things up. Doors close properly. Hand crank windows working well. Fully sorted mechanically by accredited performance mechanics. Tight, dry and smooth. Power brakes, Borg Warner shifts, steers and runs superbly. Drive it with confidence today. McCulloch supercharger purr-forms to 5 psi spec. All gauges (tach finished up next week), lights and switches, radio and even the clock working fine. Glass is clear. Bright work and chrome in excellent condition. Antennas are in the trunk waiting for re-fitting. Tires have lots of tread, no checking or cracking. Original 14 x 6 stamped wheels and excellent paint over chrome caps. This classic needs a first class naked paint job and engine detail, that's it. Or leave it all original with the patina as you see it today. It's better than the best driver, needs someone with more knowledge and experience than me to make it #1. These Hawks are so rare I don't want to screw one up. I'm not a concours collector, I buy drivers. Car is in Calgary Canada, not as shown. No warranty either expressed or implied. All bids and prices in $USD.
