1967 Other Makes White 3000 Cabover Truck Additional Info:
For sale is a vintage 1967 White 3000 cabover truck. These were made by the White Truck Co. starting in 1949. There were not too many made toward the end of their run in the late 60's. The body style was the same but the mechanics were improved thru the years. The cab tilts electrically allowing easyaccessto the engine and drive components. It is a five speed with a large 400 cu. in. straight line gas engine that runs well. There is an electronic fuel pump with excellentfiltration, which allows the truck to be dependable in warm weather. The manual pump is still available plus the heater though they are not used at this time. The truck is stored in the winter. Electric is 12 volts. It runs well, is dependable and has taken home many trophies. This cabover is a real head turner. The bumper was chromed some years ago since they were all originally painted from the factory. Very few are on the road. The truck is not top show quality but looks great for its age.
Inside the cab there is a vintage radio under the dash and a removable PA system with an attached microphone that was used with loading and unloading. (see under dash pictures) Behind the cab, the truck has anauxiliary air tank with hose where air tools can be hooked up and used under pressure. The air brakes are reliable and function well. Thecarburetorwas rebuiltlast year, the fuel tank has been cleaned and lined, the truck regularly tuned up, oil changed and engine belts are new. It has a chrome over the cab air intake which is easily connected to the air cleaner. The large front body louver opens to bring fresh air into the cab. The title is clear and registered in Illinois.
