You are bidding on a cool example of the old school Checker Marathons. The majority of course were the familiar yellow and black checker cabs, few were manufactured for the individual market. What makes this Checker so unique is the one year only Perkins 4-236 diesel motor. As I understand it, ery few were made and I’ve read some articles that argue whether there are any left. Perkins diesel is still in operation and parts are not an issue. In addition, ccording to the prior owner the 32600 miles are actual. I have no documentation to back that up other than the overall originality and original owners manuals etc. Description as follows:

Mechanical:
Perkins 4 cylinder diesel motor
Power steering and power brakes
New tires and exhaust
Recent maintenance includes: new fuel filter, il filter and oil change, ew belts, ne new hose, adiator flush and fill.
Vehicle has been driven sparingly in the last few years. Starts right up every time. Front brakes may need adjusted, ccasionally pulls and may need a front end alignment?

Interior:
All original interior with exception of carpet
Still retains the original Checker AM radio
Very nice dash and gauges
Perfect headliner

Exterior:
One repaint a few years back to its original color except the black roof.
Still shows and shines well, ew nicks and chips, othing major
All glass good
Still retains original hub caps on new tires
Front grill and rear bumper are a matte silver as opposed to chrome
Vintage amber fog lights on front bumper
Very nice trunk area, o patches or repairs, ew spare in place

To summarize, somewhat rare old Checker. Turns a lot of heads and most certainly the only one at the next car show or cruise in. Great car for the family, eddings, usinesses, ou name it.
