Thanks for stopping by to take a look at one very cool 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. This last and, some say best, iteration of the model was treated to a 355 Replica body kit that is one of the nicest we’ve seen. Let’s have a look. ( ** Note to the Purists: Turn Back! Save yourself now. Don’t give in to the Siren’s song)

History we know: A friend purchased the car in 2020 as a non driving project. The original owner had decided to upgrade the front suspension to coil overs with tubular upper and lower control arms and had gotten the passenger side mocked up. Life changed and the car sat idle, apart and included the box of suspension parts. We’re told the prior owner loved the car. Our friend passed it along untouched.

We started with completing the front suspension swap and found we were missing one rather obscure coil spring. Sure enough, someone on eBay had one exactly correct part. We found a fresh fuel system, added a hot battery and she came to life. With a snarl nonetheless.

Rarity

Awesome Fieros are drying up fast! Sure there are still beaters to be had and that’s a good place to start when you’re on a budget or learning the classic car ropes. If you are looking for something exceptional, it is getting to be a short list.

This is a nicely optioned GT.

Thanks for the great questions. New photos have been added. The AC system looks stock with everything in place as normal. The alternator was testing poor so it has been replaced. New wiper blades installed. The clutch slave is weeping a bit so another has been ordered and will be installed. Thanks for your interest.
