1988 MERKUR XR4TI AUTO Additional Info:

This 1988 Merkur XR4TI was part of a So Cal 140 car collection, and was stored since 2004.Owner is in his 90's and sold all his cars. The Merkur is all original - unmolested- original paint, no sign of any repair and no rust. Front seats have to be recovered, the rear is OK, and the dash is near perfect (small miracle!, but it was always covered) and the car comes with 4x brand new floor mats .Plastic fender liners are missing at front rear is deteriorating.The car leave it`s "mark" on driveway (engine/power steering pump?) A/C proposenol valve was replaced, system recharged with R1, holding pressure but is not working. Before starting the car, fuel tank was removed-cleaned low pressure fuel pump in tank and also on frame replace, all the service items :Battery timing belt, spark plugs, wires, cap rotor, transmission filter/oil, TPS sensor, oil press. switch,starter solenoid, most of the heater hoses, rear struts, 4x new tires, tach. was rebuilt, Sierra turn signal switch. Brakes have plenty of life left, exhaust is all original with cat. The car starts, runs, shif, stops as it should, however couple of times the engine just cut off,and starts again, I am still working on this issue. It will need new axle rubber boot at the left side, and also the driveshaft center rubber is old. the belt tension er need replacement,just a little noise.As with all used cars sold "AS-IS", sale include 2x keys, original manual, electrical manual, nose bra, dash cover, center caps-no locks, Clean California Title on my name, non op. with DMV, no back fees, can be registered in any State, in Ca will need a smog check.
