1968 Pontiac Firebird Additional Info:

This 1968 Pontiac LeMans hardtop coupe was acquired in 1999, and refurbishment work carried out and has involved replacing the fenders and quarter panels, a repaint in orange, and the installation of a 428ci V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Remaining work includes the interior, brakes, and headlights. The car is equipped with FiTech fuel injection, MSD ignition, 14″ Rally II wheels, a dual exhaust system, a split front grille, a center console, front bucket seats, a Hurst shifter, and a cassette stereo. This LeMans project is now offered at no reserve with a clean Wyoming title.
The car was refinished in orange in 2013 following bodywork that involved replacing the fenders and the quarter panels. Exterior details include a bright split front grille, hood scoops, GTO badging, and bright trim. Quad headlights with retractable headlight covers are fitted, but do not work correctly. There is a scrape on the front of the nose, and the hood is misaligned.
The 14″ Rally II wheels are mounted with 225/70 Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires. The four-wheel drum brakes need to be serviced.
The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in Black Morrokide, and interior equipment includes a center console, a Hurst shifter, a cassette stereo, and a cabin heater. The package shelf and part of the headliner are missing, the driver’s seat is tornInstrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, an optional 8k-rpm tachometer, and a fuel-level gauge as well as a pair of auxiliary gauges under the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 428ci V8 was installed in 2014 and rebuilt in 2018, per the seller. Equipment includes FiTech fuel injection, MSD ignition, and “48” casting cylinder heads, it has a Ram Air IV-spec camshaft. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
The Tremec TKO five-speed manual transmission was installed within the last 100 miles. A dual exhaust system is fitted.
