Vehicle Details
This Impala was sitting in storage for over 20 years. I'm selling it for a friend. The owner past away and he never really got to do much to it in his later years. It's now time for a new home. The Vin comes back as a V8 2 door hardtop. I was a bit confused when I noticed the 6 badges on the fenders. The owners sister who inherited his property stated that was his joke and regularly raced it around town. The engine appears to be a 327 4bbl. and converted to a floor shifted 4 speed. I can't verify exactly the engine or trans but, it looks very original. Someone had broken into the garage and stole the carb from it many years ago. The old exhaust is rusty and just kinda hanging there. It's got coilover rear shocks. This car is very straight. It came from the Janesville Wisconsin Assembly plant. Because of that region and the harsh weather, the lower edge of quarter panels behind the rear wheels are rusty. The lower part of the wheel wells behind the rear wheels also have rust holes. Plenty of original metal to work with for floor and well repair. The rocker panels are in nice condition and the overall sheet metal is mostly solid and intact. Lower edge of fenders need minor work. Plenty of metal to work with. The two rear tires are flat however, I will get something on there prior to sale so that it will roll easy. All the glass is in nice shape, just very dirty from critters walking walking all over it. The frame looks to be in very good condition with the suspension mounts intact and strong. There is no evidence of any damage to the frame due to an accident. The very tail end of the driver's and pass side rail has a little rust but looks to be very repairable. The two rear tires are flat however, I will get something on there prior to sale so that it moves easily. Lots of good straight trim. The dash pad is spilt and curled up but, all the metal and trim is totally original and uncut. The factory original radio is still in place. The steering wheel is in super great shape! This car is still just like it's been for over twenty years and has been pushed in and out of the barn about 10 times. Light reasonable sheet metal repair. Definitely a real nice candidate for restoration. It's a real nice builder. I've tried to take detailed photos the best I could. Nothing hidden or disguised. It's a no reserve bid so bid to win. Thanks for looking. Sold with a bill of sale. I'll try to answer questions the best I can.
