1969 ford mustang gt convertible with 390 and a 4 speed

Vehicle Details

My dad bought this car in the current condition in 1980. He never got around to this one. This is a 69 gt convertible with a 390 and a 4 speed. Hit in the rear and the right front. The passenger side cowl and door hinge post are bent. I do not have the passenger side fender, door, tail lights, front pan or rear pan. Something fell on the roof over 20 years ago, looks like the convertible top supports need to be straightened. Brake drums have been removed so the car rolls. The engine does not turn over. Vin 9f03s……. 9 for 69 model year, f is the Dearborn plant, 03 is a 2 door convertible and s engine code for a 390. Door tag has 76a for a 2 door convertible with standard bucket seats, color code 6 for Acapulco blue, 2b trim is light blue Corinthian vinyl and light blue kiwi grain vinyl, 10b is a build date of February 10th, dso 56 is Davenport Iowa, r axle code is a 3.25 limited slip 9 inch and trans code 5 is for a 4 speed manual. Car needs quarters, all floors, probably all torque boxes, the right rear frame rail has a visible rust hole. Front frame rails and rockers look to be savable and maybe the left rear frame rail. The convertible seat reinforcements look like they can be saved as well. The door and fender could be patched up but I would buy new and the deck lid has some rust along the edge. The hood isn’t bolted on and it looks like the mounts for the hinges are missing, so if you use an open transport, the hood needs to be strapped down. I trailered it on an open trailer from the storage location to my home, it was fine. This has to be a somewhat rare combo, there were not that many big block convertibles, let alone 4 speed big block gt convertibles.

I have posted 100 pictures in this ad, I have noticed that if you are using the normal eBay app and not the eBay motors app, sometimes all the pictures do not show up, use the eBay motors app.

The odometer does show 55xxx miles, it is possible that it’s rolled over, however this car was only 11 years old when my dad bought it, could be accurate. Either way, it’s a non running project car, so it really doesn’t matter.

My dad passed away 10 years ago, he left a bunch of cars behind and I have been working through them over the years. The last one someone tried to use the eBay payment method. They aren’t going to let it go through. They don’t like the old titles and they try to handle it like it’s a 5 year old car with a loan and a warranty, it’s not, it’s a 56 year old project car that doesn’t drive or have a warranty. All the cars I have sold have been paid for by wire transfer, I can provide references for the buyer and I believe my eBay feedback speaks for itself. I have also been on eBay over 20 years. You can pay with cash if you like, however it will be at my bank obviously during banking hours and they will count it and verify no counterfeit bills. The last person who wanted to do this was scared off by the bank for some reason, must have had some fake bills I suppose…

I will help in any way I can to get the car loaded up with your transport company. I can strap the hood down if needed and almost all the parts are tucked away in the trunk. The bumper and the wheel are in the car, but everything should be fine in an open trailer. Just keep in mind if it rains, your transport company may need to tarp it off.

Make sure you want this before buying, $500 deposit is non refundable
