Welcome to the listing for my 1931 Ford Model A Victoria!
Basic info up front: This car has been thoroughly restored and is fully operational without caveats. It has a brand new Burtz Block engine in it. I just (Nov 15th) drove it 71 miles and the video is on YouTube. I have driven it on 100+ mile trips. In fact, I drove it 131 miles on November 16th (video to be posted shortly). I am happy to work with your transporter to ship the car anywhere in the world. This car needs nothing and is ready to enjoy by its new owner.
Further details: This leatherback Victoria was built in April 1931, and is a match for the stated requirements in the MARC and MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards for a car assembled that month in that year. The history of the car is unknown for the majority of its life. What is known is that it was restored in Wisconsin in the early 2000s and was sold at the Iola car show in 2012. The purchaser at that time added it to their very respectable car collection of high end MOPAR muscle cars, but it was rarely driven. I purchased it from them in 2023 and have added approximately 2000 miles.
Restorations and maintenance: Since purchasing the car, I have added $3,660 in misc small new parts (receipts available), an unknown value of used and restored original parts from my personal collection, $1,082 for a new Brassworks "Extreme Touring" radiator (receipt available) and $9,343 for a new Burtz Block small block professionally built engine, cylinder head, and flywheel (receipt added in the photos). The car needs nothing else.

The only component of this car that has not been opened and rebuilt is the differential. Since it functions properly, that has not been needed.
There is no rust in the gas tank that I am aware of.
The Burtz Block engine has approximately 500 miles on it and the oil has been changed four times as part of the break in process. I will replace the oil again after the next 100 miles are complete. Since I drive this car regularly (at least weekly) additional miles will accrue during the course of the offering. For those not familiar with the Burtz Block engine, please search for information online. It's a tremendous upgrade: basically a new technology engine, but in an original-style housing. This short block engine was professionally assembled by Baril Engine Rebuilding Inc. in Green Bay, Wisconsin earlier this year.
Since the car was restored 20 years ago, the paint does have imperfections. The most notable are the chips around the hood hinge, imperfections around the gas cap, and a small spot of spider-webbing. All of these are photographed in the listing. There are also chips and other spots from normal driving and wear. Most of these can be touched up if desired.
The car has not been driven in the rain or inclement weather and is always garaged. However, the original vacuum windshield wiper is fully operational.
An aftermarket temperature guage was installed to monitor engine coolant temperature. The car has a -rare- original radiator cap, but that can be replaced with a Motometer if desired. Since the guage is more accurate than the Motometer, I did not see the need, and it prevented possible theft of the Motometer when parked (most thieves aren't well versed on the rarity of original radiator caps!).
I do not know what this car looked like prior to restoration, but it does appear to have had body work done (not surprising). All of the body panels and fenders are steel (checked with a magnet). Please see the photos: all of the panels, etc., appear straight with no issues. The frame does not appear to be bent or twisted.
Please note that this car is 94 years old and will require continued maintenance and use to ensure many more years of drivability. Particularly with the Burtz engine and modern gasoline, more driving is better than not driving at all. Also, note that the car is, aside from the Burtz engine (which appears stock), this car is fully stock "as Henry built it". With this understanding, it can maintain a comfortable cruising speed of 45-50 miles per hour. It can make it to 60+, but it is not recommended to maintain that speed for any significant distance. The most comfortable speed to drive is about 40 miles an hour. Since it does have manual brakes, it is recommended to allow reasaonable stopping distance unlike a modern vehicle.
If you notice my other auctions, you'll see a considerable amount of Model A Ford parts, including those I am having custom made. I am happy to answer any questions regarding this car not already noted in this description.
I have over 100 additional photos of the car available and I can supply any specific photos desired, plus walk around and running videos.
Thanks for looking! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
