DUE TO LIMITED STORAGE SPACE AND RECENT PURCHASE OF 2 VINTAGE RACE CARSI HAVE TO MAKE ROOM IN MY BUILDING AND SELL SOME OF MY COLLECTION OFF
This is a very solid 1979 ford centurion conversionThis one as a clean original running driving survivor.that needs very little to make it perfect or enjoy it as it is. the original 460 engine,always serviced and maintained buy original eldery owner,holds good oil pressur, no smoke,no ticks,no knocks,no blow b, runs nice and cool .not a drive way drippe, engine starts ez,has manual choke original holly carbTransmission is a solid strong shifting c, with clean red fluid,not a driveway dripperShifts strong and firm and correctly,Truck drives very well,steering wheel is centere, does not drift or pullNo shakes shimmies or strange vibrations,has six near new Firestone tires and clean stainless simulatorsI also have a spare tire and rim that go with this truck.All head lights tail lights and signals are working at this time,has a couple amber running lights that need bulb replacements. I will get that done before pickup .
The interior is very original and in really good shape,for what it is,it was done by the centurion compan, they had their own designs and material, back seat make onto a bed,has curtains And pull down shades for side windows,all in working order.there are a lot of interior add ons switche, gauges,tach, factory ac is not holding a charge but the pump is still in place and the clutch spins freel, will loose its charge within a couple days,haven’t looked into it,possible hose or o ring .All glass is in good shap, dash is nic, door panels are nice.carpets are original and intact.headliner is intact,not falling down like most do. It’s clea, cozy and complete inside.The body is very soli, not a rotten rust bucke, no patch work or bondo spots on metal,The floors are rock solid as well as the rockers,doors are not rotted or rusted out.Bumpers are nic, tailgate is clean.still wearing its original white paint,that is getting thin in spots,better known as patina.roof seam has had some quality patch work like they all require over time.nice job.,the factory job was not the greatest on these conversions as most of you guys already knowIf not familiar with these centurion conversion, the front cab is a e 350 van with the fiberglass sleeper molded to the van cut away,the bed is also fiberglass,with inside floor being check plate steel,This is a very fun truck I do get a lot of comments every time I take it out.It has been to a few local cruises and events over the summer it gets a lot of thumbs up and people love it especially the old timers.,this would make a awesome 12 valve Cummins conversion,that was my intention when I bought this truck,I have a 96 cummins truck here that was damaged in a stor, with a strong power plant.It can be purchased separately,if you would be intrested,Anyway
I think I have covered most of the descriptionsBut I would like to mention a few quirks .Fuel gauge is inop,front fuel tank has not been used in a long time,it is running on the rear reserve tank at this time, front tank has old gas and it’s recommended to drain it out before attempting to switch tanks over,Top roof seam has some re sealing at one point in tim, decent jo, but it’s there,paint fading in that area. Old school radio still works but sound quality is weak by today’s standards,top roof air horns don’t work or I don’t know how to work if they do,too many switchesThe truck has been well maintained and loved over the year, but has sat more than its ran in the last few years.oil is still fairly clea, belts and hoses all look good but it’s been a while,just so ya know.Has fresh 91 non ethanol fuel in reserve tank .Truck comes with many extra spare service parts in tool box such as seals lights, filters,belts etcPrevious owner was a well prepared type of person.Pride of ownership shows through this vehicle .
