Porsche's iconic 911 Turbo model is perhaps the most recognizable of the marque. As such, it made use of the factory racing program's turbocharging innovations, initially powered by an aluminum-cased 3.0-liter engine delivering 234-horsepower. The Turbo gained a substantial displacement increase for 1978 to 3.3 liters, along with an enlarged “whale tail” rear spoiler to accommodate the new air-to-air intercooler. Output now stood at an impressive 282 horsepower.
This 1978 Porsche 930 Turbo was has been fully restored, finished in 2020. Painted in a bright carrera red with brown leather interior. Originally this was a chocolate brown exterior with the brown leather interior. The original wheels have been colored coded to match the exterior. Stored most of year in an air conditioning garage and drive on special occasions for specialty events and bright sunny Sundays.
The motor is still it’s original number’s matching 3.3L Air-Cooled Flat-6 with it’s 4-Speed manual transmission.
