Beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang with original Inline 6 and C4 Auto with only 87k miles. I bought the car in California before moving here late last year and it’s been mostly garaged so still holds California Title. Reason for sale is I no longer have the space for the car and I don’t have the money to restore it where it deserves to be anytime soon. It was supposed to be a long term father-son project so I took great care in my ownership.
Frame is straight, body is dry, and there is no rust. It has a solid drivetrain and a ton of work already done including a Weber 32/36 (with Clifford adapter), HEI distributor, new fuel pump, battery, radiator, starter, and more. Engine bay and interior floors have been stripped, treated, and sealed with rust preventative. Interior is gutted, cleaned, sound deadened, and ready for carpet and a headliner. Includes front and rear seats in good shape, plus boxes of extra parts and new hardware to help button it up or build it further. The only issue currently is the brake system needing to be looked at. I replaced almost everything less than 100 miles ago (lines, master, drums, hardware, cylinders), but it now feels spongy possibly a line or wheel cylinder leak. The e-brake was never fully replaced and only partially engages. That said the car rolls freely and runs, and mostly stops. When it was road legal it drove both in CA and here before winter, I’d recommend a carb tune and checking the brakes before putting it back on the road. New tires all around, good bones, and tons of the hard work already done.
Clean California title in hand in my name ready to sign over. I need this gone soon, so it’s priced below what it’s worth to make it move. Located in Colorado Springs, I can help with towing if you’re local, and shipping if you’re further. No trades please. Thanks!
