For your consideration is a 1973 Ford Bronco. Below I will cover the condition of the exterior, interior, engine & mechanical and the undercarriage. This Bronco is nice because while it has been modified, all modifications are light and tasteful. It remains largely original. The modifications compliment the look, usability and overall personality of the Bronco. While in this condition, it’s not rare to see a ’73 Ford Bronco sell for over 100k. Because the Bronco does have a mild lift, bigger tires and fender flairs, the access to owning isn’t that of a 100% original museum piece. While most of this Bronco has been restored and the condition is very good, this one may not drain the bank due to not being 100% OEM factory correct.

Condition:
Exterior – Finished in a beautiful shade of white called Wimbledon White the body is nice and straight. The body and paint work are only 4 years old. A PPG Urethane was used along with compatible epoxy, primers and seal coat before painting. Accents were added by painting the F O R D embossing on the front with Ford Torch Red color and black on the tailgate. The glass, lights, fender flairs and wheels are all in excellent condition. The bumpers are straight with no rust or issues, they are original and don’t have a brand-new chrome look to them. The mirrors and door handles were replaced with brand new bits during the restoration, they are perfect. Because of the reliability and fun of this Bronco, it is used all the time. There are very slight imperfections here and there. Please see the pictures for up close viewing of the exterior. Fender flares, roll bar and interior are all tied together with a black Line-X texture paint that is super durable.
Interior – Along with the Line-X floorboards, interior side of the doors, the rest of the interior is finished in black. The seats are comfortable, still firm and show minimal signs of wear. Modern shoulder seat belts have been added to the front and rear seats for family & friends’ safety while riding on or off road. The speedometer works great. There are new dual windshield wiper motors that have been installed. A modern radio has been installed so you can play music from your phone.
Mechanical & Undercarriage – A stock yet potent 302 V8 transfers its power through a manual transmission and of course, 4x4 with locking front hubs! The engine runs cool, doesn’t over heat and actually does better than one may think on the fuel! The drivetrain is original and has not been modified save for an aftermarket shifter and performance exhaust. The engine fires up quickly, idles smoothly and pulls very strongly. The transmission shifts nicely through all gears. The Bronco has a primary and auxiliary fuel tank, only the primary tank is being used. During the restoration, the underside of the Bronco has was cleaned and Line-X painted for durability. The floors and frame are very nice and solid with no evidence of repairs or replacements. It seems as if this Bronco is one of the rare ones that has always been rust free. The exhaust system is a full stainless-steel custom 2.25” true dual system. No Y-pipe, each side runs from each manifold and follows all the way back to the rear exit. It is fully welded and serviceable via Turbo V-bands. Flowmaster Flow FX straight through mufflers were used. It sounds amazing. During the restoration, the brake system was freshly rebuilt with new parts including new master cylinder and power brake booster. The body has a 3” lift kit while the suspension has heavy duty springs and shocks. A suspension lift was not an option as the goal was to retain a good ride and decent handling. This Bronco goes down the road, steers and handles like a Bronco sitting on 33” tires should. With its new brakes, the Bronco stops very nicely. The 33”x12.5” BF Goodrich KO2 tires were replaced when the truck was built. They have less than 1,000 miles on them. All of the wearable parts were either replaced or if they were not replaced, they were deemed to be suitable for daily street use. The 4x4 works as it should.
Overall Condition – Get in and enjoy. That’s about the best way to sum it up. This is a turn key and enjoy Classic Bronco. You will do very well at the local car show or even big event such as All Ford Carlisle. You get a show ready Bronco that is versatile and can be used on the road as a commuter, family outing SUV or dare I say off road (while it’s capable, it’s probably too pretty to do such a thing). The family who owns it has had it on their property though some hills, though nothing that could potentially scratch or damage the beauty. Buckle up and go for a ride.
