Vehicle Details
Solid rare 84 yr old car. AMERICAN BANTAM built roughly 6k vehicles between 1938-40...roadsters,coupes,woodys,trucks, four seaters, panels, boulevard delivery and even semi trucks. 629 Coupes were produced in 1939, of which 417 were standard coupes.
This one comes with a mountain of spare parts, motors, transmissions, body parts, axle, all rare...all important.
Also have a 72 MGMidget donor car...motor and trans that I was going to insert to increase hp. $600
Coupe has brand new 14" lower profile wheels and tires on it now, to give it more of a mean look...if that's possible. Original wheels and tires included, as well.
I have a Roadster, take it to car shows every year and win. Most that approach say they have heard of Bantams but never seen one in person.
Yes it needs love, but you will not be disappointed when done, and these little cars need to be back on the road where all can enjoy.
Bantam stopped car production to concentrate on the war effort and were responcible for design, building and shiping the first Jeeps called Bantam Reconnaissance Car. Willy/Ford took their design and ran with it.
