1964 Chevrolet Nova Additional Info:
This auction is for a 1964 Chevrolet Nova SS Super Sport 2 Door Hard Top. Original 194 Cubic Inch 6 Cylinder, Automatic Transmission. Has 57,919 Original Miles. Just out of long term storage. Has factory Gauge Package, AM Radio, Clock and Heater. Factory Bucket Seats with Floor Mounted Shifter and Console. Rear Mounted Antenna. Unfortunately the car sat for many years and was subjected to moisture. When we received the car the paint was peeling everywhere so we stripped the car, lightly sanded it down, primed it and then sealed it with a light spray so as to protect the body panels. Surprisingly the car is very solid where it counts. The floors are in very solid original shape, excellent inner rockers and structure. Sub frame rails all the way to the back are nice and clean with the exception of the last few inches where the spring shackles bolt up. Those ends will need to be repaired or replaced. Center trunk pan is also rusted out and needs replacement. Trunk lid could be repaired, easier to replace it. Front fenders had a little repair work done at the very front. Doors appear to be real solid. Lower far rear quarter bottoms need replaced but inner tubs look real decent. I did notice the outer skin on the passenger side rocker towards the front had an older repair also. Drivers side is fine. Just trying to be upfront and honest about what you are purchasing. The car needed a solenoid for the starter so we bought a new one, installed it and the car faired right up. Motor runs great, transmission goes into gear fine. Will need the brakes gone through but we did get the E Brake to function. Wiring for tail lights need to be replaced. The car does need a full resto but you dont see too many of them around. Would make an excellent winter project. It is a factory 5 lug car so it has the better suspension. In case you want to V-8 it. Keys have been misplaced but ignition is in unlock position. You can remove the door cylinder to have a key cut to match. We are running the car off an alternative fuel source as we are not sure how clean the tank is. You will need a battery as we use this one to start vehicles. Im probably forgetting something. So feel free to ask questions. If you need a title in your state we will register the car and with that registration and our proper dealer transfer paperwork you will receive a title. We require a $1000 non refundable deposit at end of auction and balance due in (3) days there after. We can store the vehicle if you need time to get a shipper as long as it is paid for. If you need anymore info feel free to call 1(207)432-2862. We reserve the right to end the auction early in case of a local sale. Thanks, Bob.
