1972 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT Additional Info:
This 1972 Ford F-100 is a Styleside, short bed pickup finished in blue over tan vinyl upholstery special-optioned bucket seats and powered by a 390ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic C4 transmission. The engine is equippedwith a Holley carburetor + Edelbrockintake manifold and was factory rated at 215 gross horsepower and 327 lb-ft of torque. The oil was most recently changed in June 2023. Equipment includes the Ranger XLT package as well as power steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 100-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, an aftermarket tachometer, and a five-digit odometer showing 60k miles. True mileage is unknown.Simulated woodgrain trim accents the dash and amenities include a heater, black rubber floor mats, black carpet, a dome light, and lap belts. The woodgrain door inserts have been removed but can accompany the sale.
Exterior details include chrome-finished bumpers, Ranger body-side molding, dual side "sport" mirrors, vent windows, a cargo light, a woodgrain tailgate applique, and dual exhaust outlets. The previous owner added American Muscle 18″ aluminum wheels wearing 255/40 Yokohama G/T tires and lowered the stance using DJM Suspension's lowering kit.
Extensive restorative work and upgrades have been performed since July 2021, including the replacement of the fuel pump, sending unit, fuel & vacuum hoses, headlights, 3-core aluminum radiator, dual exhaust system, and seat covers/cushions as well as the installation of new side mirrors and power steering. The engine was thoroughly rebuilt by a reputable shop and now features newly machined heads, new head gaskets, a new Comp Camps mild cam and lifters, PRW adjustable rocker arms, new custom pushrods, and new Edelbrock aluminum finned valvecovers.
Acquired in July 2021, this F-100 Ranger XLT is offered at no reserve with a Deluxe Marti Report, manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and current Alabama registration in my name.
