You are looking at the stat. sheet of a "REAL TRUCK". NOTE,, THIS BODY HAS NO RUST THRU HOLES. BODY AND CHASSIS ARE IN A1 CONDITION.
Built by the maker of the somewhat infamous MACILLAC, which won FIRST IN CLASS at the US Diesel Nationals in 1991, that vehicle was sold and shipped to its new owner in Sacramento, in 2006. This truck is called the MACK MEGABED by the builder. It was started as a project in 1994, as a follow up to the Macillac but never completed. The time required, interfered with his ability satisfy customer demands and to earn a living. It has been stored inside since then, and worked on occasionally as time and money allowed. Vehicles of this type are classified as MINI-BIG RIGS, by the AHTS (American Historical Truck Society), which classifies all trucks greater than 50 years old.
The owner/builder, Joe Salinger is well known for his quality work within Carteret County and Eastern Carolina for 25 years. His creations are seldom of the usual type of vehicle and this is just one example of his unique style. He has created a number of vehicles, mostly trucks, that have taken Best In Show Trophies throughout NC, SC, De, and NJ.His experience ranges from an MG-TD restoration to the modification of a Firetruck into a car hauler. His pending retirement at age 75, preceeds the sale of this truck.
THIS IS A RUNNING, DRIVING, STOPPING, VIABLE TRUCK, NOT A MOCKUP OR TOY. IT WILL PULL A HOUSE. IT IS NOT REGISTERED FOR THE ROAD.
