1959 Chevrolet 3100 Short box Step side Additional Info:

This is a original paint pickup. Brakes have been gone through with a new master cylinder, wheels cylinders, shoes, and rubber flex hoses. I replaced the king pins. Has a new set of tires. The inline six 235ci engine runs good and fires right up. Miles are not original most likely rolled over a couple times. I have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, ignition points, and the ignition coil. Has a new remanufactured carburetor and a new Mishimoto radiator. The truck has surface rust throughout the frame. The body has a few rust holes. I have patched the big hole on the driver size floor pan with a piece of sheet metal and rivets. The fenders are in bad shape and dented all over with some bondo patches done by previous owner and a couple of rust holes. The bed also has some good sized dents and the wood floor is shot with a hole near the back. The inside cab floor is painted black with Por 15 rust preventative paint. The engine is leaking oil from the rear main, oil pan and valve cover. The transmission grinds in all the gears. Third gear is the worst. An experience diver can slip it into gears without grinding but it really needs a rebuild. The clutch feels good other then chattering when releasing due to the flywheel being warped most likely from the oil leak on the rear main. All the gauges work other then the battery voltage. Most of the lights work. The rear brake lights short out at times as the bulb sockets are rusted and worn. Windshield wiper cable is broken. I had the wipers working before the cable snapped but the wiper motor is very weak and will need rebuilt. This is a running driving truck will good clean glass. I drove it on a couple of 3 hours trips at freeway speeds but it will lose oil and you have to keep a close eye on it. I would highly recommend trailering the pickup unless you're local within a few hours. It needs a lot but its a good running driving truck and would make a good project.
