1976 Jaguar XJ12C

NO RESERVE Rare, Rare, Rare! This is a beautiful jaguar 1976 XJ 12C. This is an immaculately maintained survivor. Less than a few hundred exist and I've yet to see another original V12 coupe like this on the streets of Southern California. Gorgeous features throughout, including the high quality thick paint, chrome wheels, white stripe tires, automatic transmission, air conditioning and 244 horsepower electronic fuel injected engine that made its first appearance in this model in 1975. Its history of sympathetic ownership is apparent in the condition of its pinstriped paint, black vinyl covered roof, and red upholstery and interior trim. It would have been an outstanding front-row trade-in on a Jaguar dealer’s lot in 1981 but today it is truly exceptional offering a new owner the best of Jaguar’s famed ‘Grace space and pace’ in a beautiful 4-seat hardtop coupe with smooth V-12 power and a full array of comfort and convenience features. These cars are becoming extremely hard to find in this condition. This is a rust free original car that has an immaculate interior. As for mechanical: This car did not need a restoration -- still, it is a British Leyland Jaguar, so much has been repaired, replaced and rebuilt the chrome has never been touched except with a little polish and it looks fantastic. The wood portion of the dash has some slight cracking as you can in the pictures and is very normal for the original dashes of this vintage, however a brand-new wood interior dash and dash vinyl kit for this XJ is included in the sale if the owner wants to upgrade the existing look. It has the original black Landau top all the chrome is in beautiful shape. This car is a West Coast car. It comes with many articles and posters so that the car can be immediately shown. It gets a lot of looks at any event that it is taken to. The color combination is extremely rare - cream white exterior, black Landau top and red interior very very nice. This car is well taken care of.

This beautiful V12 Jaguar coupe is an original numbers matching car. The chrome, body, tires, rear-end, under carriage, engine compartment, and interior are in excellent shape and the car is complete and all chrome pieces and emblems are there. This car is loaded - power steering, power windows, power brakes, automatic, independent 4 wheel suspension, inboard rear disc brakes, twin fuel tanks, and multiple piston front wheel disc brakes. This chassis won all the awards for being the smoothest and quietest riding car, comparative to the Rolls Royce's at a fraction of the cost. Today's Jaguars incomparable ride started with the invent of this car with its massive frame, V12, and its short coupe wheelbase.

The short wheel base V12 coupe was the epitome of every executive that had one, and with its low production numbers this V12 Jag coupe is already being sought after from collectors and enthusiasts worldwide. The factory cross members and frame can handle enormous amounts of torque and horsepower and give the car that solid heavy stable feel flying down the road at well over 130MPH. This car is offered at a modest price and will be a great investment for the first time buyer as well as the seasoned jag club member. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Well-preserved automobiles like this Jaguar XK12C are rarely found and represent excellent values that will be proudly owned driven and displayed at any gathering of Jaguars. If you just want the body to put in a new Chevy 350, this car is not for you. You can get much cheaper ones out there. However, if you want a car that is a candidate for a museum, show, or concourse car, this is your car. I'm looking for an appreciator and a driver. I believe that with appreciation, fine care and open road driving, this XJ12C will give a new owner many more years of great happinessThe car is sold as is with no reserve, and no warranty, expressed or implied. Sold with bill of sale only. This 1976 Jaguar XJ12C coupe is an extraordinary automobile exquisitely maintained and amazingly preserved from new.

Happy bidding.
