1929 Other Makes Additional Info:
1929 Essex Coupe, rumble-seat car. This car was found in a barn in Great Falls, Montana. It belonged to Steve Darnell, owner of Welderup Fabs & Rods, and star of the hit Discovery Canada show, Vegas Rat Rods. It was his personal hotrod. It now belongs to Big Block from season 1 of the same hit Discovery Canada show, Vegas Rat Rods. The body and frame are the original 1929 Essex Coupe. It has a ZZ4 motor with a thumper cam. The motor was built for a drag car. Turbo 400 tranny with a reverse manual valve body. Old-school style juice brakes. You can see a lot of time, effort, and creativity went into building this car. Just look at all the details: bullet casings for accents, stirrups for door handles, barb wire around the log bumper, fiberglass wrapped pipes, playing cards on the dash, a ball and cap pistol for a shifter, flames that are hand-painted by Lenny from SoCal Speed Shop in Las Vegas are just some of the details. Car has a clean Montana title, registered as 1929 Model A. Buyer is responsible for shipping and transportation of vehicle after payment clears. Car is available for sale locally as well. Seller reserves right to end auction at any time should the car sell locally first.
