1985 Other Makes Mercedes 380 SL Additional Info:
I have owed this car for about 7 years now. Bought from original owner the car had 86K mile she threw a rod out the side of engine. Could not find an original MB engine. So I found a good GM LT-1 350, out of a 2001 Pont. Trans Am which I
bought wrecked. Cleaned up engine: gaskets, tune up, water pump etc... Rebuilt trans. Found Hershey Hot Rod close by; Had them make the conversion. So many thing to hard to list. I have the complete file on all the parts. They did a great job on this car.
I wanted to be able to drive across country or just cruise around town. I have both tops, they look great. The hardtop has small crack in rear glass(photo). This was a blue car w/ camel interior. I always wanted a true pearl white paint job. We did the body work and color change in my own shop. Has 2002 Toyota Avalon bucket seats. Lots changes yet a real sleeper. It looks like stock MB 380Sl. I have blown away late model 5.0 Mustangs or you can just drive it easy. It has been a real fun car to own, but I am retiring soon and just don't have the room anymore.
Thanks for our interest in this car and good luck bidding. If you buy it you can fly into EVV airport, and drive it home. I am also a U-Haul dealer so you could rent a Auto Transport trail to take home. I have a few name of professional transporter.
I also have this car for sell on Craigs list locally and in near by towns. So I may have to end this auction at any time.
