1989 Other Makes Sei Super Seven Additional Info:
Westfield Sportscars was born in the spring of 1982 to Chris Smith, an engineer and racer of notable pedigree. The first of his Lotus Seven-esque replicas were well received, as they were not merely factory-assembled kit cars- they were re-engineered, re-imagined, and constructed from modern materials and using modern processes. The Westfield Super Seven features an unique independent rear suspension, composite bodywork, and a wider track width than either the Lotus or Caterham built cars, along with a tuned Ford Sierra 1.6 crossflow split-valve engine. This particular example of the Westfield Sei was constructed for the Japanese market, and was actively raced in the Yokohama area until it was purchased and federalized in 2015 by a collector in Ohio, and carries an Ohio title. Sporting dual sidedraft Weber carburetors and Minilite wheels, this high-spirited example is ready for either the street or the track.
