Up for sale historical car. Already in the USA, licensed and titled in Georgia.
Very good condition considering the year and the place of origin. Majority of these cars have rotted away in the 80s and the 90s. Very few have survived until now the harsh Russian winters with all of the salt and slush on the roads.
What you see in the pictures is what you get. The radio pictured is just for covering the hole. I actually have original Volga radio and a face plate to go with it, included with this listing. Also, I have many spare parts for it. To nane the few:
– carburator
– air filter drum (Kastryulya)
– all of the cooling hoses
– all gaskets
– most most rubber seals for windows.
Interior is super clean. Upholstery is practically brand new. The smell inside is a typical Volga smell, something that one never forgets (after riding in it while growing up). Car is missing few plastic knobs in the interior.
This is a 43 year old car, so obviously there will be some things you will find in it. There are no obvious defects and car moves and functions as one can reasonably expect a Russian car of this age in good condition to function. Here I will list here what has been done recently (in the past two years) to the car:
-- new complete paint (prior to importation)
-- re-upholstered (historically accurate original Volga cloth interieor)
-- new battery
-- new four tires (tubeless), have less than 400 miles on them
-- dash board re-wired, so there are no electrical issues
-- undercoat paint done prior to the importation
-- Rust prevention, so there is no rust anywhere
