Running, complete chassis.
In the late 60's a prominent collector purchased this chassis with the intent to build a Gold Bug. Unfortunately, he passed away and the project was put on hold.
We have copies of blue prints from Kissel for the Gold Bug Body, and have started and could complete the entire restoratio, as our metal shop has English Wheel capabilities to fabricate the body & cowl to concours specs.
Many rare, obsolete cars have been rebodied, such as, Duesenberg, Auburn,Packard, etc., and are correct as long as the motor, chassis & wheelbase are correct for the body.
Call Rich for a link to a video of the vehicle in operation or for further information at 516-993-2816.
PLEASE NOTE: the photos of the restored car and motor are NOT this vehicle...they are merely examples of what this finished product could be when restored by us.
Also note: this car has two wheel, external contracting, mechanical brakes, which is correct for a 1924 Kissel. In 1926 Kissel improved their braking system by having 4-wheel hydraulic brakes standard.
Bill of Sale only.
