This 1973 Lada (Vaz) 2102 has been recently imported from Russia. A sharp and unusually festive grey color, this former Soviet Bloc era automobile has only 15000 original miles. The VAZ-2102 is one owner wagon car, produced by AvtoVAZ and introduced in 1972. Better known as the Lada outside of its native Russia, it was a localized version of the Fiat 124 Special built under license and tailored for the Soviet and Eastern European market. The 2102 shares 90% of the components with Fiat 124 very successful automobile. The Fiat 124 was nominated automobile of the year in 1967. This car is true one owner time capsule, We purchased the car from the estate of original owner and car still had original title and license plates dated 1973.
The interior’s color is 2 tone (Cognac), and is in very good shape with no cracks, rips, or missing hardware.
Crank windows, vinyl floor mats, and a 4-speed manual are all pretty basic, but the faux-wood trim, two-tone fabrics, and radio indicate this was a fully optioned car. A rare find in the US, in its pristine condition.
