1949 Other Makes Hudson Additional Info:

This is a 1949 Hudson Commodore 6 with a running 232 engine with 3speed with overdrive.
The battery is getting old and will probably need replacing soon.
This car has been taken apart for body work, the rest of the car is intact and running.
It will drive up onto a trailer, the brakes work,
Then interior is an older restoration and need completely redone top to bottom.
The bodywork is 98% complete, just need a final primer and block sanding.
I removed the doors and stripped the paint of the jams and the doors, so all old paint gone.
The doors will have to be realigned once you install the rubber gaskets, not included.
I removed everything from the doors and they will all have to be re-installed.
I have painted the door jams and around the doors black, and will need to be touched up.
I will include the black paint we have one full gallon and one almost full that we used on the doors, if you want it.
The car was originally black, so that is what we were going to paint it.
The front bumper is bent and would need straightened or replaced, see photos. The back bumpers and guards need replating.
All of the parts we have removed are inside of the car.
We had the fluids changed and they used the wrong lubricant on the rear end and transmission, and they need to be replaced with the correct fluid types.
There is a few rust holes, one area in the trunk on the right and the drivers side floorboard has a few small ones.
You should be able to patch them easily without replacing the whole piece.
The frame rails look good.
The glass is all good with small bubbles with the exception of a missing wing window, one rear vent window is broken and the right side front windshield had a rock chip.
The tires on it are a little too big, I would put new ones on it sometime. They are good enough for driving in town, I would not trust them for the highway.
The exhaust system has a leak somewhere, but I could not locate it.
The rest of the chrome is usable, not show car quality.
If you have any question, please ask and look at all of the photos closely.
It does have a clear Kansas title.
You will have to make arrangements to pick up the car.
There is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit by paypal due within 24 hours of auction end.
The rest of the payment will need to be made in cash or cashier check. Once the check clears the car can be picked up.
This is the last time we will list it in this condition, if it does not sell we will continue to restore and the price will go up.
We reserve the right to end this auction early as it is for sale locally also. First come first served.
