1971 Opel GT with1.9 liter engine and 4 speed transmission. Very original with some nice updates. Extensively restored over the past 3 years with over $8000 in new parts (receipts included with the sale). Some of the new items include professionally installed Air Conditioning, clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing, front brake calipers, stainless steel exhaust manifold, muffler, and pipes, seat covers, dash cover and carpeting, water pump, tires, hella headlights, battery, rear motor mount, weber carburetor, power windows (orig mechanisms retained), security alarm, backup assist, vintage radio, door seals, under hood seals and much more. The deck behind the seats has been modified to include cup holders, a storage bin and a usb plug. Also included in the sale are an owners manual, a factory repair manual and various spare parts and parts catalog pages. The car runs and drives smooth and tight with almost no rattles or squeaks. It steers well, drives straight and true with no wandering or shimmy. The floor pans, the jacking points and the body mounting points are solid with no signs of damage or accident repairs (see photos). The body is very good with some bubbles under the paint that are hard to see in the photos except for one spot. The car burns no oil but does leak some. The headlights have been rewired. They are finicky to open and close but there is an excellent set of LED driving lights that work great. All gauges including the clock work. The driver's new seat cover has come unstitched (not ripped) on one corner (seems to be a common problem). Here's a chance to own a great car with lots of new parts in it. The car is ready to drive and enjoy. The car is in Evansville, Indiana. I have a clear- clean title in hand. It is sold as-is. Pick up/transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. The car is being sold without reserve (I am downsizing). Highest bid buys it. Payment accepted by cash, check, or wire. Car cannot be picked up until payment has cleared my bank.
