1972 Opel Additional Info:
Here we have a cool and somewhat rare 1972 Opel Gt! We came across this little thing while filming our YouTube show, Turnin Rust. She had been sitting out in the woods there for over 30 years!! Abandoned and neglected, we were able to capture the complete find and purchase of the vehicles on film, as well as getting this ol girl back and running again!! Both of the video links will be included at the bottom of this ad.
The story we got was that the car was running when parked, and we was able to confirm that it does still crank up and have some life in her. Original 4cyl engine with manual transmission. The radiator is currently off but is included in auction. The car will crank and run with a hot battery off a temporary fuel source. The carb needs a rebuild and a lot of the old wiring will need replaced. Motors sounds and revs good, no internal noises. I’ve only had the car in 1st gear but have driven it down the road an clutch seemed to engage an disengage as it should. There are currently no working brakes on the car. The body is fairly straight, has a little damage in front of hood, and does have a decent amount of rust down low as seen in pics, definitely repairable, but will take some work. Doors open and shut nice, car rolls an steers easily. The interior was filthy when we found the car but cleaned up decent for what it was. Included in the auction is also another Opel Gt parts car, it is missing the engine, and has some rear end damage but still a lot of good parts a person could use from it! Winning bidder has the option of not taking the parts car if they don’t need it or cannot transport both. I DO have tx title on the yellow 72, I don’t have a title on the parts car and it will be sold with a bill of sale. These are both project cars but definitely have some potential and are just itching to be turned into something cool again! If your in the market for a “poor mans corvette” these just might be the cars for you!! No reserve auction, high bidder wins! Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping. $250 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, remainder of payment due within 3 days of auction end. If you have any questions please feel free to call or text 903-219-7412 before bidding. If you have zero or negative feedback please contact before bidding to verify account. Thanks and happy bidding!!!
