1965 Opel Other Additional Info:
This is a 1965 Opel Olympia Rekord Pickup. While Opel is a European company, some of the Opel Rekords built in South Africa were built as pickups due to the unique demand in the region. This is one of the few that was built in lefthand drive configuration for export. This is therefore a very rare vehicle. The truck is very rusty, but I'm hoping that because of its rarity and the abundance of rare parts (panels, trim, drivetrain) that someone would be able to use this vehicle, even if only for parts. I don't want to see it crushed, so help me find someone who can use it.Will be sold with bill of sale and a certificate of title which will generate a clear title at DMV.

What little research I had initially found suggested that all the Opel pickups were built in South Africa, but I've recently been informed by several people that this truck was actually built at aGM plant in Copenhagen Denmark in 1961-62. Thanks to the people who are stepping forward with info on this truck!
