1989 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Additional Info:

I am offering my 1989 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency Brougham for sale. I have owned this car for just over four years and have driven it approximately 39,000 miles during my ownership. The car is my fifth Olds 98 and is probably the nicest one that I have ever owned. It has been a joy to own and operate these last 4+ years.
First, please NOTE the following important information regarding this car: It is a high mileage car, currently with just a little over 194,000 miles, but the car runs and drives absolutely no worse for the wear. Secondly, the car does need repair work performed on the air conditioner. I have had a measurable amount of repair work already performed on the a/c. Sometimes the a/c charge would last a few months, some times a few weeks, most recently the charge lasted for only days. When working, every part functioned as intended, it just has not successfully held the refrigerant charge as it is supposed to. Suffice to say, the a/c is inoperative at this time however, when recharged, all components worked nicely. The a/c is converted to R134a refrigerant. Third and final, both rear electric windows are inoperative and have been inoperative for the entirety of my ownership. The problem(s) with the rear windows has never been diagnosed by me.
Aside from the known mechanical disclaimers immediately above, I have always felt confident and safe getting in this car and going wherever, whenever I wanted. I have never had to add any oil between oil changes which have been performed regularly and routinely. The engine and transmission are solid. You will find a couple drops of oil from the oil pan when parked for hours or overnight. Cosmetically, the car was resprayed approximately 5+ years ago with one very nice quality paint job and hand painted pin stripes. I have included a picture of two scratched places on the passenger side door that are noteworthy. The interior is just gorgeous and is in outstanding condition with no splits or tears. The door armrests are tight and solid. The headliner is like new. The matching set of Michelin Symmetry tires have plenty of miles left and are smooth as silk.
This car was equipped with the Digital Information Center which provides additional, helpful information to include miles per gallon, amps, engine temperature, tachometer etc... The leather wrapped steering wheel contains controls for radio volume, station selection, HVAC temperature and fan speed. All of the steering wheel controls work beautifully. The car has the auto dimming rear view mirror, power antenna and auto trunk pull down, all of which work perfectly.

All things being said, please know and understand that this 27 year old vehicle, while as nice as it is, is being offered AS IS with absolutely NO WARRANTY of any kind. If the car successfully sells, I do require a $500 deposit within 48 hours of close of the auction which can be made payable through PayPal. The remainder of the winning sales price will need to be fully paid within 7 days of the close of the auction. I will accept a Money Order/Cashiers Check from a fully recognized financial institution. Cash is, of course, always accepted. Regardless, all funds will have to be fully cleared before the car will be released.
